SPIRITUAL LIFE

For a school to grow and become an effective institution in the community, it must continually strive to develop itself as a whole together with each of its integral parts. GCA has worked hard to deepen its relationship with our school family and the community at large. We strive to minister to those in need, to communicate the love of Jesus Christ through word and deed, and to operate our programs with professionalism and integrity.

Student Retreats

The upper school students participate in yearly student retreats. The students get away from the grind of school for one day, to focus on what it means to bring glory to God. Students spend time individually and in groups learning the importance of recognizing God for who He is.

Chapel

Services are held weekly for the lower school and the upper school. Each age group meets to worship and be taught from the Bible. Students are provided with opportunities to serve the Lord through the use of their talents and abilities. Upper school students form the Chapel Praise Band to lead students in praise through music. Lower school students lead all grades in the pledges to the American Flag, Christian Flag, and the Bible. Students are also given the opportunity to recite the weekly Bible verse and are called upon to lead in prayer.

Scripture Memory

GCA enables the memorization of Scriptures through our memory verse program Verses are selected from the Bible, prayed over and chosen that will give the children practical help and instruction from the Lord in their lives. One or two verses were the focus each week. Students learn the meaning of each verse and spend the week memorizing and applying the verse to their lives. Verse are discussed in chapel each week, and students are given the opportunity to recite the verse in chapel as well as in the classroom.

National Day Of Prayer

GCA observes the National Day of Prayer. Students, faculty, parents, and friends all gather at the front of the school to pray for our nation, our political leaders, and for our school.

Statement of Faith
